Frederick Aaron “Fred” Savage is a famous American Actor, producer and director, best known for portraying the character of Kevin Arnold on the hit American television show ‘The Wonder Years’, a show that lasted for six seasons, and ran from 1988 to 1995. Savage earned nation wide acclaim for his work on the show and was felicitated with the Young Artist Awards and ‘People’s Choice Awards.
Active on the scene since 1985, Savage’s first roles were on the film ‘The Boy Who Could Fly’ and ‘Dinosaurs! – A Fun-Filled Trip Back in Time!’, until he was chosen to play Kevin Arnold on ‘The Wonder Years’. Early Life and Education
Savage was born on 9 July 1976 to Joanne and Lewis Savage in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised in Glencoe, Illinois, but the family later moved to California. He has two siblings, a younger brother, Ben Savage, also an actor and a younger sister, Kala Savage, an actress and musician. Savage was raised as a Reform Jewish and has Polish, Ukrainian, German and Latvian ancestry.
Savage attended and graduated from a private co-education school named Brentwood School near Los Angeles County, California. He later attended the Stanford University from where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English in 1999. At Stanford, Savage was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

Savage appeared on the comedy film ‘The Boy Who Could Fly’ in 1986, in which he essayed an autistic boy, Louis Michaelson, and received a ‘Young Artist Award’. In the same year, he made his television debut with the show ‘The Twilight Zone’, appearing on just one episode.
