The Wonder Years Cast – Where are they Now?

The Wonder Years is a cult American coming-of-age TV comedy-drama that ran successfully from 1998 to 1993 on ABC Channel. The show was created by Neal Marlens and Carol Black. The protagonist Fred Savage, who was then 13 became the youngest actor to be nominated for Outstanding Leading Actor for a Comedy Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.

 

The show has won 22 awards including a Peabody Award and has been nominated for 54 more. ‘My Father’s Office’ especially has been ranked number 29 as the TV Guide’s ‘100 Greatest Episodes of All Time’. The Wonder Years documented the growing years of the 12 year old Kevin Arnold in the late 60s, a pivotal point in American history.

Fred Savage – Born July 9, 1976 in Highland Park, Illinois; Fred Savage debuted at the age of 9 for a TV show called ‘Morningstar/Eveningstar’. Apart from the popular ‘The Wonder Years’ he went on to act in shows like The Twilight Zone, When You Remember Me, Law and Order : Special Victims Unit, Happy Endings and more. He is also a part of the 2015 TV show ‘The Grinder’. He acted in movies like The Boy Who Could Fly (1986), Little Monsters (1989), The Rules of Attraction (2002), Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002). He is also a producer and a director. Mr. Savage has directed shows like Boy Meets World, That’s So Raven, Hanna Montana; etc. He has directed a movie called ‘Daddy Day Camp’. He has produced a few episodes of Friends with Benefits, The Crazy Ones and Happy Endings. Fred Savage married his childhood sweetheart Jennifer Lyne Stone, with whom he has two sons and a daughter.

 

Dan Lauria – He played Jack Arnold, father to Kevin in The Wonder Years. Born April 12, 1947; he is a stage actor who went to do be a part of several successful TV shows and movies. He has worked in shows like Boy Meets World, Ghost Whisperer, How I Met Your Mother, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, Sullivan and Son. He has been a part of movies like Stakeout, David, Prison of Secrets, Independence Day, etc. He has been an integral part of Broadway plays like Lombardi (2010), in which he played coach Vince Lombardi and A Christmas Story – The Musical (2012).

 

Alley Mills – The woman who played the role of Norma Arnold, the mother; in The Wonder Years is none other than Alley Mills Bean. She has done a few movies like Going Beserk, A Golden Christmas and Maybe Someday. She has also acted in many TV shows like Lou Grant, Hill Street Blues, Moonlighting, NYPD Blue and Touched by An Angel. From 2006 onwards she has been a part of the mega soap opera ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ reprising the role of Pamela ‘Pam’ Douglas.

 

Olivia d’Abo – She played the role of Kevin’s rebellious sister in The Wonder Years. She is an actress, singer and song-writer. Born in Paddington (London) on January 22,1969, she has been a part of several TV shows like Growing Pains, Crash Course, The Single Guy, Daddy’s Week Off, Law and Order – Criminal Intent and Psyche (2014). She has done movies like Conan The Destroyer, Bolero, Point of No Return, Seven Girlfriends, Green Lantern – The First Flight and The Devil’s Violinist. She was engaged to Julian Lennon and Thomas Jane but the relationships didn’t work out. She married song-writer and music producer Partick Leonard in 2002 but the couple divorced in 2012. She has one child, Oliver.

Jason Harvey – Born April 6, 1972 in Los Angeles, he did a few TV shows apart from ‘The Wonder Years’ before changing careers. He served as the senior vice-president for HealthSouth Corporation in Alabama. He is a TV producer and is married to Shannon Hervey.

Josh Saviano – He played Kevin Arnold’s best friend ‘Paul Joshua Pfeiffer’ in The Wonder Years. He is a lawyer by profession, who also played the part in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Danica McKellar- She played Kevin Arnold’s girlfriend Winnie Cooper in The Wonder Years. Born on January 3, 1975 in La Jolla, California; she went on to act in many TV serials and movies, while never losing track of academics. Mathematics fascinated her, she went on to even four non-fiction books on the same subject – Math Doesn’t Suck, Kiss My Math, Hot X: Algebra Exposed and Girls Get Curves: Geometry Takes Shape.
